Tears of Hope

Bitter tears of regret...
Stupidity taking over my body...
What was I thinking...
To risk all, for a few brief moments of pleasure..

The stealing of a kiss, the turn of a head...
The feeling of being wanted, no more...
I had the perfect love...
My beautiful utopian dream..

Nothing compared to the sound of your voice,
Nothing compared to the touch of your hand upon my face...
Nothing compares..nor will it ever..

You were my first waking thought...
My last waking thought...
..my only thought

Tears can easily be wiped away on the outside,
...inside they are impossible to dry..
When you left me, the light went out of life,
Now I sit here..waiting...reflecting..
Watching the window for your car..
All I have left is memories..and hope.
Tears & hope....& memories so bittersweet.
