Blue

I am here,
but am not seen.
I have a voice,
but am not heard.
I have a heart,
but it's untouched.
I have a soul,
but it is lost.
I had my dreams,
but they're forgotten.
I had my hopes,
but they were dashed.
I had some joy,
but they're just memories.
In my lonely
and distant past.

I wish for love,
but is it there?
I wish for touch,
to feel alive.
I wish to fulfill,
but no one is accepting.
I wish and dream,
I reach too high.

I live my life,
in solitude.
I keep my dreams,
unto myself.
I know I'm loved,
but feel so empty.
I'll keep on wishing,
although denied.
