How can I hate her
Her only crime was loving you the way I do
She stole your heart, just as you stole mine
You will always love her, as I will always love you
The night she left, your heart was broken
You cried and told me of your searing pain
I listened and fell in love with you even more
She was gone, but I was here for you
I watched as you felt the pain of heartbreak
All I could do was comfort you with my words
The sadness inside you made me cry too
That night she returned to win back your heart
You cried and watched as you watched her walk away alone
I loved you so much and felt so proud
Yet deep down inside me I knew..
..she was the true love of your life
I felt her pain, I wept her tears
The image as she drove away stays in my mind
I saw myself in her as she watched her whole world fall apart
Losing you is like losing the will to carry on
Even after all this time, the pain of her broken heart, stays in mine
How can I hate her for feeling as I do
She and I love the same person, we share our love for you
The greatest gift I can give you is freedom
To think of you in her arms once more
Her love won your heart before I did
My love just wasnt enough to keep you as mine
In time I will think of you two together
