Sitting in the shadows
Looking out at the faces
People rushing past
Off to other places

Standing in the shadows
Looking out at the light
Warming my Soul
Long into the night

Stepping out of the shadows
Movement all around
Staying in the present
My feet on the ground

Walking out of the shadows
With thoughts of you
You've touched my heart
As so few can do

Out of the shadows
Absorbing your Light
No need to hurry
My Soul takes flight

Forsaking the shadows
To greet your smile
To be held in your arms
If only for a while
