New Love

It's ok to be angry with me
I told you that I would always love you
Yet here I am barely a few months later on
My heart sings to the tune of someone else
I could take the pain, the sadness, and the tears
The lonely nights so cold in bed
Memories so vibrant of a love that once was strong
You made the choice of who was in your arms
I felt nothing but solitude from your coldness
How I looked for solace from the pain
Time was unkind as it dragged me along
Now here I am with the only cure for my heartache
I look at my new love and wonder what I saw in you
I was wrong, I won't love you forever after all
Yes its ok to be angry with me....
