I love you
I know I don't say it often
I know you know it's truth
But it's what lies behind the words
That makes me write this down.

I love the ease in our stare
How your eyes never threaten
How my eyes never want to move.

I love the gentleness in your touch
How a slight brush can move me
How the lack thereof can numb me.

I love the warmth in your embrace
How your arms encircle my body
How your body touches my heart.

I love the way you understand me
How the nod of your head means everything
How a delay can chill me.

I love the sound of your voice
How its warmth stirs my soul
How its gentleness sooths my heart.

I love the tenderness in your kiss
How the touch of your lips thrill me
How the touch of your lips fill me.

I love the way you complete me
How our hands never feel awkward
How our bodies always feel right.

The quiet, gentle ways you remind me
The power of your deepest embrace
The way you kiss my head at night
The way you kiss me in the candlelight
The things you say as we lie together
The things you say before we part.
