The Transition

They started out strangers
Two people in the same room
Introducing themselves with pic's and words
Common ground and familiarity begins to bloom.

A simple Hello and Welcome sparks their excitement
The topics they shared with cautious, counseling blends
Laughing and crying, they'd chat into the dawn's new morning
In no time at all, two strangers found themselves friends.

Conversing with (((hugs))), ty, yvw, brb, wb, and ttyl's
Packages of cookies, cards and encouragement's were sent
Emails, Snail mails, Forwards, and Replies
Mailed and received with a mystifying intent.

Mystery and intrigue braids obsession deep within
Secretly smitten and wishing they'd have met
With miles apart, and distance to defeat
The destination is chosen and plans are set.

United face to face, infatuation seeps deeper
Touched by a curious interest and blushed with desire
Strength and yearning aching, an intimacy is driven
Sparks once kindled, erupt fervently into fire

Shimmering with intensity, purposeful changes they make
Ending the old, at home now the defender
Decisions have been made, putting their futures at stake
Beginning the new, their securities they render.
