I saw someone today
She walked past me
Her walk was like yours
Cute and spunky
Warm and friendly

When she smiled and said hello
I had to catch my breath
She looked similar to my sweet love
Her eyes were almost as blue
And her smile welcoming

I saw someone today
And for just a moment
I was close to you again
For a moment I could smile
And for a moment my heart was alive

But then it hit me
And it hit me hard
She wasn't you, and that hurt
My heart ached for you
My body longed for you

And although she reminded me of you
She couldn't compare to you
Because you my love
