Angels Fall First

I sat last night in the car and drove home,
Staring out the window at the passing shades of colour,
I can see your face before my eyes,
You smile that beautiful smile you have,
And tell me you love me,
Tears fall behind my eyes but I don't cry,
As I remember every little thing you said that day,
Every word that made my heart beat faster,
Every look that made my eyes fix upon you,
Every touch that made fire race under my skin,
Every moment that didn't last long enough,
I'm with you, and wish that time would stop,
Just for one more minute,
That allows me just to look at you one last time,
If I were only alive for a second, I'd spend it looking in your eyes,
Because that's the only thing that's important,
I would die knowing I spent my life with you..
I want to know that, no matter what happens,
The moments, most precious, were spent with you,
And only you,
God must be living in hell,
Knowing he lost his most perfect angel,
And why do angels fall first?
I'll never know, because
Even heaven couldn't compare to you.
