Lesbian Poetry

No Matter What

By Ramilla Sisodia

You always kept your head up high,
And always smiled at passers-by.

You never rained on anyone's glory,
But lived your life like a fantasy story.

You often thought of flowers in the spring,
Of marriage, your children and future wedding rings.

I forever try my hardest to keep you near,
To try and dissolve your haunting fears.

But then one day,
You were gone, and dead to life you lay.

But still I smile and say,
That no matter what I am here to stay.

Though, the only thing I can do now is pray,
That you will visit me one beautiful summer's day.

(Dedciated to my late Grandfather, Mr Ala Viram, R.I.P.)
