Random Thoughts...

How did it happen?
The number of times our eyes have met, were but few.
You, in unyielding pain,
Me, cursed with the "gift" of empathy.

I could feel your agony,
And I thought I felt my heart break--
In complete connection with yours.
Overwhelming as it were,
I couldn't break away from it--
Feeling your passion and undenying beauty as well.

Instead I wanted to hold you tight,
Telling you I would take care of you forever.
It was that light, brightly shinning from you.
I was in utter awe of your presence.
It's been so long,
Even so, never have I felt anything this stongly
-unexplainable and unexpected.

My heart aches when you're not around,
And my thoughts are consumed by you.

What's happened to me?
It's scary and exciting
Yearning for our next encounter.
