I built my brick wall with a window
With hopes you might want to come in
My cautious heart welcomed your being
A once frigid body was warmed by your touch
Two lost souls reunited after a lifetime of pain
You were warned not to start something you didn't
intend to finish
Yet you proceeded as you looked into my eyes
I showed you the depths of my passion
And thought I could desire no more
We took each other to the edges of ecstacy
I surrendered myself to you with every embrace
You took me to a place new and exciting
A place where I wanted to stay with you forever

But when I opened my eyes you were not there...

The curtains are closed as my broken heart mourns
My body so cold in your absence
One lost soul for a lifetime...
You were warned not to start something you didn't intend to finish
