Because I love you, I want to stay distant To guard my wounded heart when you leave in an instant Because I love you, I want to stay near To feel the comfort you bring me before you suddenly disappear Because I love you, I want to cry constantly Thinking of the pain I'm headed for when you say goodbye to me Because I love you, I want to smile all the time Being completely overwhelmed with a feeling so sublime Because I love you, should I feel happiness or sorrow Knowing I have no control over what may happen tomorrow.
