Sarah

Sorrow fills her eyes as she reflects
upon her life.
Holding rage within her soul as if she
is trapped.
Each day she grows more bitter as her
memories mount.

In an instant her eyes fill with laughter
and childlike light.
She becomes the person she dreams of each
and every night.

For every painful event she has experienced a
lesson is learned.
Reaching deep into her soul is where all
the answers lie.
Each minute that passes brings her closer to
the pinnacle of happiness.
Even if she cannot see it at this exact
moment.

Many times she is lost in her own thoughts
trying to sort the chaos.
Yearning to find the precise words to
convey her meaning.
In every action and movement she wants to
be in complete control.
Not realizing that control is what she
already possesses.

She needs to let go and realize that in
doing so she is free.
Release the demons that she has held onto
for so long.
Making her open to all the wondrous
possibilities of the world.
Seeing that only she controls the path of
her life.
