Finally

they say things change
and they never stay the same
but I guess I never believed life would bring what it has my way
because what has surprised me the most
has been born from an emerging sense of self
when i learned to let go
I finally learned how to be one with myself
and it wasn't until then that I discovered who I am
and became free
free
finally
from what i was supposed to be
finally
this is what it's like for me to be me
finally
I'm free
let me be
what I want to be
I'm free
what I'm meant to be
I'm free
free
finally
free

they say you can't win them all
no matter how much you give your all
and I know this time I won't fall
no I won't fall
because now I have something to live for
since I've opened that door
I respect myself more..
and to my surprise
I can finally see with my own eyes
what it's like to give self love a try...

and now I'm free
free from what I am suppose to be
I'm free
finally
starting now, for all eternity
keep on the path to authentic self recovery, self discovery
and in no time I know I will see
finally
what I was meant to be
if I let me be me
I'll set myself free
