Adrift of the Raven Haired Princess By willemshakespeare
Adrift of the Raven Haired Princess.
Her lover paces marble cliffs at their summit
Then slowly buries hands in a sorrow- lined face
Weep for she is the only beauty in life
Once they danced in the lilies that grew along an emerald shore
When brilliant diamond stars glittered over the ocean
In ages gone the sun banished them with jealous fire
Left their love to cry in smoldering flowers
Now the solitary moon sinks into perpetual night
Transparent ghost tendrils swirl unearthed
Hidden in ancient times before the gods of men separated them
Where her swelled heart pooling and enticing with sweetness in
Songs of the wind, is quietly dissolving into a milky sheen
Into breezes that twitter trees; covering the inky darkness
A tortured soul held hostage is spinning, tangling, drifting
Spirits appear in the mysts of steam rising in widespread mountains
Quieting the forest and enduring the emptiness of her absence
Leaving in their wake the sound of tears as waterfalls
The precipice calls with words of loneliness
She takes flight over the edge into an unending embrace
