It all comes down to this
A moment in time where we say goodbye
Not forever, but long enough where
Everyday feels like a lifetime of loneliness
Punctuated by the sight of other lovers embracing
Yet these are the times that
Make our times together even more special
These are the times that strengthen
The bonds between us and allow us to feel
More strongly about our love
I see those around me who take their love
For granted, who throw
Away the emotion they should feel
For cheap thrills and short-lived promises
But being with you is like
Coming home, your arms are a safe place
Where fate dares not interrupt
In case the delicate balance is disturbed
Little things that irritate some are
Endearing and arguements are soon forgotten
Jealousy is all but vanished because of the
Intense trust that speaks of love and
Devotion
In slow motion we move together
For a last kiss that quickly turns
Into two, three, and more, endlessly
Gazing into each others eyes
It is a sad thing to leave, but the
Warmth of your smile shortens the hours
Until I see you again
