So Still By Delilah Dugo
If you met me you would not think I had a secret within
my heart is locked
rusted shut so not even a key could unlock it
once a perfect picture
a locket bearing her and I in a memories sense
we were not designed to go from two points of a fine line
often windy the road
driving with no headlights, no logic, no plan
an image in my head of forever
what could of been
If the new lover had not come along
It faded away and we drifted apart
replaced by another in her heart
my soul has a dim light within
my spirit is bright
my inner childish sight seeing there may be light
the truth is there is no light only I have lost her
moving on through rough waters
the rocky
my talents even are impacted
all of me compacted into a shell called me
Trying to bust out like the in the video game called the Sims
but still fragile and shy hiding within
I only hope one day the lock can be broken
I can feel half of what I felt way back when
Like the sun was so warm
The breeze so soft
The world was spinning and so was I
Now so still so still I am
