Depth's of Despair

why do they hurt me....
tear me apart.....
tell me they love me......
then rip me apart......

why am I not loved......
why do I feel this shame.....
why am I hurt......
why do I feel this pain.....

This emptiness......
I feel inside.......
I sit in the corner.......
In the darkness I cry........

Why can't I be loved.......
the one she wants.......
they say the memories will fade.........
but in my mind they still haunt.....

I wonder at night.......
to the stars I do look........
she came in the night.....
took my heart like a crook......

I have no energy.....
I can not longer go on......
I have said my heart....
I have sung my song.....

I want to be released.....
away from this pain......
and maybe in the end.......
true love I will gain.......
