River of Tears

I hear you come around here sometimes
--- hoping to catch a glimpse of me.
Well, I don't have a thing to say to you
--- I've gone on; you've set me free.

You used my heart
--- You played me for a fool!
I never thought you'd turn out
--- to be so cruel.

Well, you didn't see the river of tears
--- that fell from my eyes
You'll never know how painful it was
--- for me to keep that carefree disguise.

And now that I'm finally over you
--- You come running back
You think you'll win me over
--- with that stupid act!

Well, I've learned my lesson now
--- Since you taught me so well
And if you try to give me your kind of "love"
--- I'll turn around
------ and give you hell!
