What gave you the idea?
Was it something you planned,
Or was I just lucky enough
To be close at hand?
Did you think what would happen
If you ever got caught,
Or did you never get past
Achieving what you sought?

Thanks for thinking of me.
Thanks for seeing me.
Thanks for including me.
Thanks for nothing.

What were you thinking?
Were you thinking at all?
Did it make things easier for you
That I was so small?
Did it once cross your mind
That this was a bad call,
Or were you just too intent on
Getting me into that stall?

Thanks for respecting me.
Thanks for protecting me.
Thanks for objecting me.
Thanks for nothing.

It started out as a game
But I'm the one who got played.
Somehow I got screwed
By the deal that was made.
You couldn't have cared less
That I was afraid.
The pain that you caused
Slicing through like a blade.

Thanks for the fine example.

And then it was over;
But I couldn't escape.
Scenes running through my head
Like home movies on tape.
When you denied what I said
I just stood there agape,
But I know what happened
You big ugly ape!
