The Pain

Trembling, breathing hard, numb hands
The sharp pain in my chest
Make it go away, make it stop, just stop!
It won't, I can't stand it anymore
My heart is breaking, the pain unreal
The knife in my hands, silver blade so sharp
I hold it tight on my leg, what to do
I want the pain to stop
Slowly I see the blood form on my skin
The site of this red substance dripping down
The pain in my chest is easing
as the pain in my leg throbs
I cut more and more How to stop
I just want to release the pain in my heart you caused
Its gone now, as you hold me close, you care for me
Anger, Depression, Happiness, Sadness,
One day at a time, I have to wait
Just one day at a time, and the pain will go away
I will wait, it will get better.
