You speak words of gratitude
You mutter nothing but love
But the fear you carry inside
Wraps around your mind like a hand in a glove.

Expressions you would love to show
Feelings of joy and of sorrow
Battles of the heart you possess
Winning the war is your hope yet.

You see what your heart desires
Your goal is to achieve
You treasure it, love it, admire it,
But you just don't succeed.

You have waited far to long
And now it's to late
For what you've been yearning for
There's no escape.

You sit and wonder
How things could be
For once you feel
Wow!!! this is for me!!!

Then again the sadness reborn
You hurt as tears fall from your eyes
You don't know which way to turn,
Your eyes are shut
You refuse to open
Cause when you awake
You realize it was a mistake.

A mistake to let go
What was so real
Lust stepped in and now
You can't deal

Let me in
Don't shut me out
Wifey material is what I'm all about.
