Thinking About You

I still think about you from time to time
I think about what it felt like to say you were mine
Now all I have is the memory of your beautiful face
And the absence of your warm embrace

When I lay down at night I think of you
And I kick myself because I knew you were too good to be true
I was oblivious to the fact that I couldn't give you anything you already had
But you had my love and that is something you took that I cant have back

I love you dearly even still to this day
Ill always love you in every way
Even though we both have moved on our own separate paths
I hope you still think of me that same way that I have

I know that I have nothing to offer you but my undying love
Maybe one of these days you'll come to grips and see what I'm made of
Until then I will wait with my heart on my sleeve
And continue to give and never receive

I hope you the best though
Even if it's not with me I just hope that you know
That I think of you still and love you too
And Ill leave the rest up to time and fate and see what they do
