Throughout the night

With the darkness, aching, sadness in my heart,
When will the day break?
Who loves me, who hates me? Who gives a damn?
I lie awake and ask these questions, go unanswered.
Nobody near, nobody by my side
As I cry away my pain, throughout the night.
Wondering when I will see the light.
The warm, smiling face, of the one I love
Am I right, am I wrong? The path is not clear
But still I persevere
Hoping and praying
That one day, I can find happiness at your side.
