There is a vampire
In my bed
Sucking for my blood.

I toss, scream,
Push away
Stop her just in time.

She left a mark
My tattoo
Concealed from the world.

Like vampires that
Live their lives
Hidden from the sun.

An eternal taboo
A life led
Judged, but unknown.

In night they breathe
By day they creep
Sometimes come out to prowl.

For those that don't
Believe in us
That society's bred so closed.

We exist, we feel, we love
We're real
Like you so be warned.

Of painted claws, clasped
Hand in hand,
Long hair

Seductive
