Forget It All

By charLey

She said, "Forget it all."
And turned the other cheek
And I never thought those words
Could make me feel so weak
I thought it would be easy
If I gave it some more time
But truth of the matter is
My heart breaks with every rhyme
I guess deep down I knew
That we would never last
But I can't push away the memories
And I can't forget the past
She said, "Forget it all."
And pushed my heart away
Maybe in the future
I won't think of her every day
And maybe when I breathe
It won't hurt so much
And I won't always think
Of romance, bullshit, and such
Next time I'll be smarter
Next time I won't fall
Because I gave up on love
When she said, "Forget it all."
