Beam so bright

By devilyangelic

Pastel colours I always believed were me,
as fluorescent colours was never my cup of tea.
But whether they're fiery red or simply pale blue,
try as I might nothing prevents them shining through.

With these beautiful colours that I now hold,
I could tell my story that's never been told.
Paint a picture that'd reflect the depths of I,
with an abundance of colours that could light up the sky.

So many colours I possess,
as gloomy greys and boring blacks become less and less.
As tiggeriffic orange springs into their place,
causing all of those nasty shades to vanish without a trace.

Maybe not erased but fading into the background,
as warm colours leave me to feel unbound.
No more am I afraid of change,
for now I've opened my pallette I see a whole new range.

Imploring me to see that I can be so much more,
than what I've been given credit for.
The sky is the limit to what I can achieve,
as my vast amount of colours like a rainbow interweave.

Binding so tight as they enfold to make me,
defying failure with all my being should it try to break me.
As I step away from the light,
I see my rays BEAM SO BRIGHT!!!
