Keep me from sleep

By devilyangelic

Your toothbrush has gone, your belongings too.
It's not the same here without you.
As I sit here, reminiscing of the time we had.
Though I'n hurting that we met I'm glad.

You were an era in my life that I'll never forget.
For your love and affection I am forever in your debt.
To someone else you now say goodnight.
I have to sleep now as no more can I fight.

The game is over and you win.
You're free of the one who loved you more than anything.
So give your heart to the one you love more.
As on the chapter of us, I close the door.

It wasn't that long ago that all I seen was you.
Now that you're gone, hurt is all I can do.
I tell myself, forgetting you could be easy?
But you fill my thoughts as my mind betrays me.

Back I go, down this lonely road.
Waiting patiently, by you to be adored.
But that's a feeling I'll never again know.
As quick as you came into my life, away again you go.

Another makes you smile, the way my love it used too.
Everyday hurts more and more, when I'm forced to wake without you.
Each night, holding your pillow, for you I weep.
As visions of you promise to KEEP ME FROM SLEEP!!
