Soul was saved

By devilyangelic

Grey and dull was how I started,
but as I experienced pain from this colour I parted.
Moving on to pallettes new,
as a whole new picture for me was drew.

Blue it seemed was the way I should be,
as those I thought I was loved by tore the heart of me.
Sad and lonely just craving the touch,
of a different coloured brush.

Red was the next brush that came,
the brush of love that would threaten to maim.
My foolish heart as I let her take it,
but without thinking she did her best to break it.

Black and blue and left confused,
as to what I'd done to merit being bruised?
No answers ever came,
so I figured I must have been the one to blame?

Yellow as sunbeams at last they found me,
filling my path and leading the way to where I needed to be.
More relaxed and less tense,
as finally it would seem I'm making sense.

Orange I've found is the true colour of I,
brightening up what was once my darkened sky.
Bouncing back from the colours they all tried to leave engraved,
but it is through my own self love that this SOUL WAS SAVED!!!
