Drowning

The girl sits on the beach
the lifeguard card in her purse
watching as she wades to deep
you dont know how to swim!
she cries forth
urging her back
before she goes to deep
not thinking much
not thinking at all
it wont be bad
she'll come back
but when she's gone
and slips below the water's waves
a tear travels down her cold face
diving in
swimming against the current
holding onto a hope
her baby can't be gone
seeing her corpse
floating in the sea
dragging it back
to that horrid beach
breathing life
trying to grasp on
trying to turn back time
sweetie why did you so this
she turns away
as the tears come crushing down
knowing her girlfriend is gone
shes turns back and sees something she missed before
something written in the sand
in her girlfriend's hand
a suicide note asking her to understand
she didn't want help
but the lifeguard
goes racing out to sea
to drown herself
knowing thats how it was supposed to be.
