Get it now

I finally get
why things aren't the same
I finally know why
things will never be again
I'm a lot older now
a few years makes a difference
we had to much to expect
we left it as it was
without thought of ever turning back
I know why I'm different
because I want to start things a new
I know why I'm different
because you don't want to change
you wanted things the same
even though it can't be
it's not my fault its this way
if you let things change
maybe we could've lasted to this very day
