Charlotte, do you hurt the same way as I do,
do you feel the same soul wrenching pain when you open your eyes in the morning,
Just knowing that things will never be the same again,
can you feel that hurt and pain?

I don't think you do,
Love was just a game to you,
A one sided game of heartbreak,
A game you couldn't lose.

Now I lie awake at night,
Wondering who you are with,
Wondering if you say the same things you said to me,
The words that made me happy.

I still wake up at the break of dawn,
thinking you are there,
I turn around to hold you,
but there's just an empty space.

I'm scared to sleep because you haunt my dreams,
that smile accross your face,
I dream that we are still together,
Your image burns my brain.

I only hope you think of me and remember what we had,
My dear charlotte,
Just say the words and I'll gladly have you back.
