Farewells (In memory of B.D, R.I.P)

As you were then
I saw you in the hallway
The warm sun reflecting it's rays
Withered and tired
Once youthful, were your looks

Now I see you
As on those school days
When we laughed and talked
Over long cups of tea
And a plate of banana cake

All I fail to see now
Is of you, standing in that hallway
I wish we had that moment, that time over gain.
