Deep Inside

The world looks perfect from the outside
Though I'm falling apart on the inside
I try to be happy and alive

My heart is bleeding
I'mcrying hard deep inside
That's where my problems live

This is where I try to keep them hid
But they surface every night
As I cry myself to sleep

Tears are a sign of weakness
A side of me only a few people see
For I'm a normal person in plain daylight

At night is when I breakdown inside
You'll never see the pain
I keep locked up in me

Writing is my key
It's when I can be me
I guess you could say

That it's my release
No matter how I try
The pain won't stay inside

It talks to my paper through ink
That's what keeps me in sink
So I go through each day

Not having a way
To say the things that
I don't want to say

I come home each night
Where I'm out of eyes sight and
Let my pen say the things

All of those things
I need to say but
I could never say
