Feeling whole

By shel

Deep down I feel,
my soul unconceal.
As it allows entry once more,
to the one that I'll forever adore.

Though this heart has been marred,
in a single beat I let down my guard.
Still holding the fear you I may lose,
I love with this heart that adorns a bruise.

Never shall I forsake with I was blessed,
as I love just as hard refusing it to be suppressed.
Giving all that I am with no desire to think,
though I can't swim I'm too good to sink.

Paddling through this water so deep,
which is made up of the tears I did weep.
Just when I thought I couldn't take anymore,
at last my feet find a sandy shore.

Where upon I'm loved and told what went wrong,
that when she lost me she too wasn't strong.
My tears melt from the light that she's seen,
an endless hug given for how hurt I've been.

Lessons learnt in the hardest way,
swearing to one another it's going to be okay.
These past few weeks I've felt an emptiness in my soul,
but tonight I see I'm on my way back to FEELING WHOLE!!!
