My Fall

You said that it was love,
that I only had to wait.
I thought that it was love,
but I've fallen into hate.
Such a subtle monster.
A cunning, scheming fiend.
I thought I fell in love
when I fell down to my knees.
How could I not see
the deceit that filled your eyes??
You swore that this was love,
but I've fallen into lies.
You're a poison in my blood,
you're coursing through my veins.
You say that THIS is love??
NO!! I've fallen into pain!!
You're wicked!! Evil!! Vile!!
You sit upon your throne.
You keep me at your feet,
starving and alone.
You'll NEVER let me leave.
You'll never let me live.
You know that it will kill me,
yet you take what I can't give.
What happens when it comes to pass
that I can give no more??
Will I leave??
Maimed but free??
Or die
upon your floor??
You have everything,
my love,
my heart,
you'll own my dying breath.
I never knew
to fall for you
meant falling into death.
